        In order to better your online writing, one has to  do various things. Just like any   other activity, one must practice. Practice makes perfect. Writing is not an exception. Steps to better online writing skills are as shown below:

         Read! Read! Read! How does reading aid a writer in improving his or her writing skills? Well, reading helps in learning a lot. It enables the online writer to know the flow of words and which words to use at different times. Reading gives the writer ideas when  writing, nearly everyone finds it hard to write on a plain paper. It is even harder for someone who does not read a lot. Therefore reading goes in handy for an online writer. Importantly it also helps in developing an eye for what makes a piece so effective and what mistakes to avoid. Apart from reading, being attentive to sentence structure and how materials flow helps to develop a unique style.

      An outline makes it easier when writing an article. Before writing your ideas down ,first sketch out an outline. This acts as your guide when writing down your own ideas and also acts as a road map. A simple framework should do. Have an introductory part where the writer will introduce what the article is about briefly. Next is the body, where the contents are widely discussed. Lastly the conclusion part ,here the writer wraps up on the article.

      Headline is very important. Not just any headline a very captivating headline. It helps  in upping the curiosity factor. This will hook the reader to read the article. Just like in newspapers, the media ensures that the  headline is good if they want to have a good payday.

      Choice of words is another important factor. Use of simple words encourages the reader to read. The writer should ditch those fancy  words and use simple yet effective words when writing. The words should convey messages easily by engaging and capturing the message perfectly. Keeping short sentences and paragraphs helps in passing information easily. In many cases, shorter sentences have greater impact. Let  your creative juice flow when developing sentences. Doing research helps you to have more ideas at your finger tips.

     Finding a writing partner is also important. Although writing is said to be a solitary activity ,the best writers know when it is time to get feedback about their work. It can be friends, fellow employees or even parents. Writing partner can help spot mistakes that you over looked .Above all, it helps to hold yourself accountable and keep going. These helps to build yourself and your partner.

     To better your online writing ,one should do a lot of reading. Read widely not just novels. Aside from plagiarising  someone’s work nothing tarnishes your  accountability than not doing your assignment and  delivering it on time.
